General Notes:
Supposed to have settled in Western Australia, according to Marjorie McKelcan Baker Jerry A. Baker
Confirmed by the following description:
Emigrated to Western Australia aboard the Charlotte Padbury in 1869. First found work at the Swan Brewery in Perth; after some time sold his shares and went farming at Claremont, a suburb of Perth, then moved north to Geraldton and worked as an agent for a cartage firm. Married Annie and set up their own horse teams and a small pastoral lease of 20,000 acres between Nanine and Meekatharra as a depot for his horses called Edenhope. As the railroad pushed forward it practically put them out of business so they opened a tavern. In 1947 they sold Edenhope to a neighbouring station and bought another called Kilara . Were very early settlers on the goldfields and had the Twelve Mile Hotel, half way between Nannine and Meekatharra
George married Annie Lucas. (Annie Lucas died on 24 Apr 1955.)
